Experienced Christian School Educator to Lead Upper School
Worthington Christian School is pleased to announce that Mr. Todd Aiken has been appointed as the next Upper School Principal. Mr. Aiken will officially begin his new role in late May, succeeding Mr. Tim Kraynak, who will begin his role as Director of Development at Finish Line Ministries International after this spring’s graduation exercises.
Mr. Aiken comes to WC with more than thirty years of leadership experience in Christian education, including serving as Head of School and Upper School Principal at Eden Christian Academy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Throughout his career, he has also served as a classroom teacher, chief academic officer, and varsity coach. A seasoned academic and servant leader, Mr. Aiken is known for building thriving programs that elevate academics, arts, athletics, and—most importantly—spiritual growth.
Mr. Aiken holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Regent University and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Messiah University.
Throughout his career, Mr. Aiken has remained deeply committed to student flourishing and faculty development. He has led dual enrollment and expanded the Advanced Placement program, initiated robust student leadership and career exploration pathways, and spearheaded major campus growth through God-honoring vision and donor relationships.
Dr. Erica Van Dop, Assistant Head of School, shared,
“Todd brings a unique blend of experience, spiritual maturity, and vision. He is deeply student-centered, and his passion for developing faculty, cultivating a Christ-centered culture, and strengthening school programs is contagious. We are thrilled to welcome him to the WC community.”
Mr. Aiken and his wife, Sherry, have been married for 27 years and are parents to four children. They look forward to relocating to Central Ohio and becoming part of the Worthington Christian community.
Drop-In and Say Hello
We invite WC families to attend a casual “Meet the Aikens” event this summer. It will be a wonderful opportunity to meet Mr. Aiken, Sherry, and their youngest son, Luke, and extend a warm Warrior welcome. Event details will be shared in the coming weeks.
Please join us in thanking Mr. Kraynak for his faithful service and praying for the Aiken family as they transition.
