Worthington Christian School mourns the passing of one of our founders, Bill Price, whose unwavering faith and leadership helped bring the vision of a Christ-centered school to life more than 50 years ago.

Bill was instrumental in launching Worthington Christian in the fall of 1973, a time marked by determination, prayer, and a deep commitment to Christian education. He played a vital role in the development and opening of the school’s first permanent facility at 6675 Worthington Galena Road—now home to our Grades 3-6 Campus—which opened its doors in January 1974. His dedication helped establish a strong foundation for what WCS would become.

We were blessed to honor Bill during the school’s 50th Anniversary celebration. It was a moment of deep gratitude, as we reflected on the courage and vision of those, like Bill, who made Worthington Christian possible.

Bill and his wife, Mary Jo, have been faithful supporters of the school for decades. Their five children, along with many of their grandchildren, are graduates of WC. The Price family’s commitment to Christian education and the mission of WC continues to inspire future generations.

We give thanks for Bill’s life, his enduring legacy, and his heart for raising up students to impact the world for Christ. Please join us in lifting the Price family in prayer during this time of loss.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
