Johanna Mousa is no stranger to WC. Johanna attended WC from Kindergarten and graduated in 1988. She returned in the mid to late 1990s to teach sixth-grade math and was the middle school basketball and track coach. Along with her current role, she still steps into a classroom when needed.

What is your role at WC, and how long have you worked here?
In my current role, I serve as a part-time Administrative Assistant in the Lower School Grades 3-6 building. I began the position in the fall of 2020.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your role?
Seeing how the kids are growing, day by day, as I hand out Band-Aids for skinned knees and cold packs for recess run-ins. It’s a joy to complete a task for a teacher helping to free up their evening or weekend hours. Hearing the students sing worship songs in chapel and being recognized at a school event when a student smiles and says, “Hi, Mrs. Mousa!” I love encouraging others that God has a good plan, and He is working to complete it. I enjoy being a part of this WC Community as it grows.

What is your favorite verse, and why?
Two of my favorites are 1Thessalonians 4:13-18 and John 14:1-3. Jesus is coming back, and in this in-between time, He is preparing a place for me that I can one day be with HIM. Hope, comfort, anticipation, promise, assurance.
