WC Theatre to perform a hilarious comedy on October 17 & 18

Under the leadership of award-winning Director David O’Roark, Worthington Christian’s theatre department is putting the finishing touches on the production The Play That Goes Wrong by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields. The uproarious comedy that has delighted audiences in London’s West End, Broadway, and beyond is now taking center stage at WC.

The comedy takes place on the opening night of the Cornley Drama Society’s The Murder at Haversham Manor, but things don’t exactly go as planned. From wayward props to collapsing scenery to a corpse that can’t play dead to save his life, mishaps and mayhem take over the stage. Fueled by quick wit and energetic physical comedy, this award-winning farce delivers nonstop laughs for the whole family.

In true Play That Goes Wrong fashion, our own production schedule has had a little twist. Originally planned for October 3–4, the curtain will now rise on October 17–18. While not quite the disaster our Cornley actors face onstage, it feels only fitting that even the WC calendar gets in on the fun.

Make plans to join us for a night of mayhem, mishaps, and nonstop laughter.

General admission tickets will be available at the door for $10.00. Worthington Christian students may attend for free. Performances will take place at the Worthington Christian School Auditorium in the K-2 Building of the Lower School at 6675 Worthington Galena Rd.
