For Lower School Parents and Students
Verse of the Week
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Isaiah 55:8-9
This Week
- Out of Uniform Day: Tuesday, February 4. The first Tuesday of every month serves as a visual reminder for the Great Commission Campaign and service learning at WC. Students may wear spirit wear, school colors, long pants or uniform bottoms. If you would like to support service donations at WC, you may donate here.
- Military Donations: We are collecting donations for the military this week thru Buckeye Miliary Moms. This organization has always been very grateful and amazed at our generosity and this collection comes at a time when they are low on supplies. Thank you for your donations and encouraging your children with how important these items and their letter are to the men and women serving overseas. A list of needed items can be found here.
- Thank You: Thank you to the PTF and parents for donating items to re-stock the teacher’s lounges. It is very much appreciated and a blessing to them!
- School Closet Sale: School Closet is having a 20% off sale through 2/15. Use code VALENTINE online.
- Substitute Teachers Needed: We are in need of substitute teachers – a bachelor’s degree is not required. If you or someone you know is interested, please apply here: https://www.worthingtonchristian.com/faculty-application/

Join us for a time of prayer the 2nd Monday of every month at 8:45 AM in the K-2 building. Questions? Contact Christen Shore. - Uniforms need to be uniform, so all uniforms must be purchased from School Closet or Land’s End. Over the past couple of years, we have overlooked the pants that have been purchased elsewhere, but this year we will be enforcing the dress code once again. Some reminders:
- Skirts and jumpers are to be no shorter than 3 inches above the top of the kneecap.
- The only outerwear pieces allowed to be worn in class are the navy fleece and uniform sweaters.
- Socks, tights, and leggings are to be white, black, gray, or navy with no pattern/print.
- Shoes must be closed toe/closed heel – no crocs.
- Please see the handbook for all the details on dress code (beginning on page 14).
- Drop Off & Pick Up
- Parents may begin dropping-off students at 8:30am.
- If you arrive before 8:30am:
- At K-2, we have plenty of room in the carline.
- At 3-6, we cannot have any cars in line because we use the same line for buses. At 3-6, if you arrive before 8:30am, you must park in the K-2 parking lot to wait then drive over.
- All students must be picked up no later than 3:40pm.
- Shuttle Drop Off Map: If you utilize the morning shuttle at the US, please take a look at this map for drop off location. It is important to follow these routes for the safety of both our students and drivers.
