The digital world our students navigate is changing quickly. Staying informed about the latest platforms, trends, risks, and safety practices can help parents better understand and guide their students’ online experiences.
WC parents of students in grades K-12 are invited to a presentation hosted by our WC Counselors and Franklin County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force officers on Tuesday, October 6, from 6:30-7:30 PM in the Media Center at our Upper School. There will also be a Q&A portion of the program.
The presentation will include information such as:
- What is a predator?
- Types of abuse online.
- Keeping children safe.
- Guiding children to have appropriate behavior with their peers.
- Awareness of safety concerns with AI online.
Information will be specific to parents, so please no children at this event.
Counselors will also be available to provide additional resources on healthy technology use.
