Each month, we recognize student-athletes who go beyond the scoreboard—those who consistently reflect the heart of what it means to be a Warrior. Our Warrior Athletes of the Month are nominated by coaches for exemplifying one of the four core attributes of a Warrior Athlete: Focus, Connection, Perseverance, and Leadership.
As teammates, they are growing in the ways they serve, encourage, and sharpen one another. This month’s honorees reflect what it means to compete with purpose, love others well, and honor the Lord in both effort and attitude.
Focus
I play for an audience of one.
Charlotte Ball, Varsity Softball
“Charlotte is one of the most focused players I have had the opportunity to coach. She is a hard worker who is always learning and practicing ways to improve on the softball field. Her positive attitude and work ethic on and off the field make her a joy to be around and displays her dedication to always play for the audience of One, giving all glory to God!”

Connection
I love my teammates well.
Walker Gill, MS Football
“Walker has a positive attitude and is encouraging to his teammates. He was that way last season and has again demonstrated these characteristics in offseason training. Walker is clearly committed to becoming better and to doing it the right way and supporting his teammates to do the same.”

Perseverence
I push through adversity.
Rebecca Cable, Varsity Softball
“Becca could be nominated under any of these four pillars, but I chose the persevere athlete pillar because of her incredible work ethic and drive. She gives 110% effort into every single play, even when she is not feeling her best or in unfavorable weather conditions.”

Leadership
I seek ways to serve others.
Asher Gilbert, Boys Varsity Volleyball
“Asher is one of the humblest athletes I’ve met. He is constantly looking to help his teammates get better and lift them up. He is a quiet leader that leads by example rather than putting the spotlight on himself. He truly works for and wants what’s best for the team.”
