The Warrior Athlete of the Month (WAM) recognizes students who exemplify one of the four core pillars of a Warrior Athlete: Focus, Perseverance, Connection, and Leadership. These qualities reflect not only strong athletic performance, but also a character that strengthens our school community. We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes for their dedication, effort, and desire to honor Christ both in competition and throughout the school day.

Thank you to the coaches who submitted nominations. Nominations are open year-round for all middle school and high school athletes, regardless of whether they are in-season or out of season. Coaches can nominate a student-athlete HERE.

Congratulations to last month’s honorees!

FOCUS: TiJe Adediran

Boys Basketball | Junior
Nominated by Coach Storey

“TiJe consistently demonstrates exceptional work ethic, genuine care for his teammates, and a commitment to focusing on what matters most: honoring the Lord and continuing to improve. He willingly does whatever the coaches ask of him and frequently checks in to learn how he can continue to raise his level of play, reflecting a strong growth mindset. He sets a powerful example for others through his dedication and his continued commitment to having a great attitude every single day.”

PERSEVERE: Kaitlyn Reale

Girls Soccer | 8th Grade
Nominated by Coach Gorrell

“Kaitlyn suffered an injury early in the season and maintained her always-present positive attitude while she worked to recover and get back to playing.  She finished the season very strong, helping the team win the championship this season!”

CONNECT: Anika Van Arendonk

Girls Volleyball | Junior
Nominated by Coach Prentis

“Anika exemplifies the Connect pillar through her consistent effort to serve and uplift those around her. Throughout the season, she went out of her way to foster a strong, team-oriented mindset and build meaningful relationships with her teammates, specifically with younger players. Off the court, she intentionally spent time pouring into underclassmen by encouraging them, answering questions, and helping them feel confident and connected to our team’s goal of Pursuit. On the court, Anika led by example through her work ethic, positivity, and ability to bring her teammates together. Her leadership is rooted in service, and her focus is to help others succeed by strengthening the team as a whole.”

LEAD: Austin Wrobbel

Baseball | Senior
Nominated by Coach Colley

“Austin is the first one to show up at the field (even ahead of me most days), he’s the first one to jump in and help set up the field, and he’s the first one to greet other players as they come into the dugout.  Austin consistently leads by example, works hard to improve himself, and serves his teammates each and every day.  On top of all that, he does it all with an attitude full of enthusiasm and encouragement!”
