As we begin a new school year, we want to take a moment to highlight a few new faces at WC, as well as some familiar faces stepping into new roles.

Worthington Christian is excited to welcome Leah Myers as a Math Teacher in our Upper School. Leah comes to us from Cedarville University, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Mathematics. Leah has two siblings and originally comes from Pennsylvania.

We asked staff members several “getting to know you” questions; we hope you enjoy learning a bit more about Leah!

If you could quickly and easily learn any new skill, what would it be?
Piano.

What’s something people might be surprised to find out about you?
I am missing a knuckle in my right hand.

Who was your favorite teacher in school, and why?
My high school math and science teacher, Mrs. Goetz. She was always willing to help with any questions and cared deeply for her students.

What is your favorite home-cooked meal?
Cheeseburger soup.

What makes a “good day” at school?
One filled with meaningful conversations, laughter, and helping a student learn something they have not been able to grasp before.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Do your best and encourage others.

What is a passage of Scripture you turn to for encouragement?
Isaiah 41:13.
