With the internet’s vast opportunities come significant risks, making it imperative to stay informed about digital safety practices.

WC parents of students grades K-12 are invited to a presentation hosted by our WC Counselors and law enforcement officers with ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) Task Force on Thursday, October 2, at 6:30 PM in the Media Center at our Upper School. Officers with ICAC will discuss steps that parents can take to keep their children safe online. There will also be a Q&A portion of the program.

The presentation will include information such as:

• What is a predator?
• Types of abuse online.
• Keeping children safe.
• Guiding children to have appropriate behavior with their peers.

Information will be specific to parents, so please no children at this event.

Counselors will also be available with additional resources about healthy technology use.
